Guide to Play That's Not My Neighbor

You play as a security guard at an apartment building in 1955. Your job is to check residents' identities and detect Doppelgangers. The Doppelgangers are impostors who can disguise themselves as your neighbors. However, they always have subtle differences from real humans, and it is your job to spot those differences.

Objective

You sit in the guard booth behind a small glass window and observe people who want to enter the building. Make sure innocent residents are allowed in safely, and call the DDD organization if you discover a Doppelganger.

Unique Gameplay Mechanics

Through the glass window, you'll compare each person's face, voice, ID information, and behavior. Inspect ID cards carefully to avoid mistakes. You only allow a resident into the building when the photo and details match.

How many endings are there in That's not my neighbor?

The endings in this game depend on how well you perform your duties. Here are 4 of the endings I've encountered while playing:

Ending 1: Tragic Death

If you allow too many Doppelgangers to enter the building without checking them, simply pressing the green button for everyone who shows up, it will lead to the deaths of all the residents and your own as well.

Ending 2: Uncovering the Dark Conspiracy

When you try to arrest Dr. Afton, you end up being the one captured instead. You wake up inside a body bag, overhearing a conversation between Dr. Afton and the DDD staff. It turns out you have been caught and "dealt with" by the organization.

Ending 3: Model Employee

You perform your duties diligently, letting very few Doppelgangers slip into the building. After your shift, DDD sends you a thank-you letter along with your paycheck. You continue working in the following weeks, until one day a Doppelganger kills you, and the organization simply replaces you with another guard.

Ending 4: Arrested

If you call DDD to arrest all normal residents while letting the Doppelgangers in, the organization will arrest you instead. Your actions indirectly caused the deaths of many innocent people.
These are the endings I experienced while playing That's Not My Neighbor. You can also explore a mix of happy and tragic endings in another horror title, 99 Nights in the Forest.
