BloodMoney

BloodMoney challenges your morality in a haunting horror clicker game where every tap brings pain, profit, and the question of how far you'll go to survive.

BloodMoney

Horror clicker challenges player morality

If you think the clicker genre is just harmless clicking to earn points, BloodMoney will change your mind.

Developed by SHROOMYCHRIST, this is a rare indie game that turns the familiar clicking mechanism into a haunting experience of morality, guilt, and the desire to survive.

Every click is a choice between humanity and life. You need money to cure your illness, and the only person who can help you is Harvey Harvington, a strange man willing to pay you for every time you cause him pain.

Opening story and atmosphere

The game begins in a dark room, with just you and Harvey. The first line that appears: "You need $25,000 to survive."

No need for a long story, just that alone is enough to put you in a suffocating situation. The dim lighting, weak breathing and Harvey's face hidden in the darkness make everything suffocating.

The first clicks seem harmless, just a light touch, Harvey moans softly. But the more you click, the moan turns into a scream, and each sound makes you feel... wrong.

The message behind the pain

The game doesn't just make you click to win, but forces you to think about the price of life.

When Harvey starts talking, begging, whining, or laughing in despair, the player will gradually realize: this game is not simply a clicker, but a test of morality.

The game has many different endings, and each ending makes the player ponder. There is no real "win" or "lose", only a trade-off between money, humanity and emotions.

Gameplay in BloodMoney

Clicker and upgrade mechanism

The gameplay is simple: click on Harvey to earn money. Each click earns you a small amount, which can be used to buy new tools to increase the amount of money earned.

From light objects like feathers, syringes, to scalpels or iron hammers, each tool has its own image, sound and reaction.

The game is divided into progression:

  • $5,000: Unlock level 2 tools.
  • $10,000: Harvey starts talking and reacts more strongly.
  • $15,000: Unlock “Special Pain Device”, choices affect the ending.
  • $25,000: Reach the survival milestone, unlock the true ending.

The feeling of excitement and fear mixed together, making the player both want to continue and feel guilty.

Controls

A big plus for the game is the extremely simple controls, accessible to all players, but still bring a sense of weight and purpose to each action:

  • Use the left mouse button to click on Harvey. Each click corresponds to a “pain action”. Holding the mouse down will increase the speed, but you can easily miss the dialogue details.
  • Spacebar to pause or open the upgrade panel.
  • Esc to exit to the main menu.

The controls are simple but iconic: each click is a weighted choice. Because of this ease of manipulation, the player feels like they are actually “doing something”, not just controlling a character on the screen.

Game tips and small guides

Listen to the sounds and watch Harvey’s expressions. When he starts begging, that’s a sign you’ve gone too far.

Don’t click randomly. The dialogue and reactions only appear if you pause at the right time.

Three main endings:

  • Mercy Ending: Stop before $25,000, choose kindness.
  • Corruption Ending: Continue until Harvey is silent, losing his humanity.
  • Neutral Ending: Complete the goal but still feel guilty.

BloodMoney in 99 Nights In The Forest is not just a clicker game, but an emotional test. It forces you to look deep into yourself, into greed, cruelty and moral limits. After completing it, you will ask yourself: “Am I really any different than the character in the game?”
