BloodMoney 2: When Pain Becomes Work

A sequel to BloodMoney, this is a unique indie horror game by SHROOMYCHRIST, where players not only click to earn money but also participate in a mechanical pain production system.

The game exploits psychological and moral elements, but in a completely new way: you are no longer a desperate individual, but a part of an unfeeling organization, where every action is calculated by profit.

The game space is built like a cold factory, where neon lights reflect on metal blocks and chains, and the sound of machinery screeches regularly, making players feel empty and haunted.

Unique and hidden plot

Players take on the role of a "worker" in the Human Expenditure Program, an organization that generates profit from human pain. Every action you take, from activating pain sensors to upgrading equipment, contributes to the operation of the production line.

However, this is more than just a clicker game: players experience the feeling of losing control as machines automatically inflict pain on you, forcing them to reflect on morality and humanity.

The game does not tell the story through long dialogues, but through system logs, flashing lights, and cold background sounds, creating a haunting and constantly tense atmosphere.

Themes and messages

Automation and Indifference: As the automatic production line operates, players realize that the convenience comes with indifference and emptiness.

Morality in the system: The game puts you in the role of a “cog” in a cruel mechanism, making you wonder: “Is it possible to survive in such a system and still retain humanity?”

Human emotions: Each action evokes a sense of both curiosity and torment, creating a profound psychological experience that few indie games can match.

Gameplay: Clicker becomes mechanical and profound

Gameplay and progression

Manual click: Activate the sensor to create “Pain Units”, a unit of pain measurement.

Automation system: When you purchase enough equipment, the system will automatically create a workflow, and you just need to monitor the progress.

Unlock new levels: Increasing Pain Level gradually opens up new prisoners, upgraded equipment and system logs that reveal the story.

Key milestones in the game:

  • Pain Level 1-3: Collect data and click manually.
  • Pain Level 4-6: Open the automatic chain and new prisoners.
  • Pain Level 10: The system operates completely automatically; the player observes the process without emotion.

This design makes the experience not just a clicker but also a psychological experiment, reflecting the feeling of being “pulled into the system” and losing control.

Controls

  • Left click to activate the sensor. Hold to accelerate.
  • Spacebar: Opens the factory control panel.
  • Esc: Return to the menu or exit the game.

The controls are simple but iconic; each click is a choice, and each choice has moral weight.

Gameplay and tips

  • Increase automation early: When the line is running, you can see the efficiency and feel the emptiness of the action.
  • Observe the system log: It contains hidden clues and messages about humanity and organization.
  • Special ending: Stop clicking for a certain amount of time when the system reaches a high Pain Level to open “System Override”, the ending that shows resistance.

BloodMoney 2 is a unique, fresh, and profound indie experience where the clicker is not just a game in 99 Nights In The Forest, but a test of psychology, morality, and humanity. Every click, every upgrade, every minute spent watching the chain is an unforgettable experience.
